The Interdisciplinary List-serve for Outcomes Assessment

Over the years, we have watched as newly designated assessment coordinators, departmental representatives, faculty, administrators, and institutional researchers have sought sources of information about outcomes assessment. 

The best ways to get immersed in assessment are still through key publications like Jossey Bass' Assessment Update and national or regional conferences such as IUPUI's Assessment Conference in Indianapolis.

There is also a need for a dynamic forum through which conversations started at these meetings can be continued.  New practitioners should be able to join the conversations and get the information that they need to get started and remain engaged.  Experienced practitioners should be able to keep up with new questions and new ideas.  There is so much that we can learn from each other.

To address this need, PACAT/NOMESys has teamed with GNOMEwebs to start a free non-commercial email list-serve for post-secondary outcomes assessment.  The list is by subscription and can be received either as individual posts or in digest format.  The list is called College Outcomes Measurement Forum Online (COMFO).
